April 19, 2022 – Members from American Legion Post #841 in Montandon, Pennsylvania, and members from our American Legion Post #309 in Helotes, Texas, coordinated timely assistance to another Veteran in need.
Gary Conrad, a Montandon resident, and longtime friend of one of our post members, recently endured a debilitating double amputation of both legs and needed aid.
Our #309 representative coordinated with several from Gary’s Post #841 to render aid after learning the specifics of Gary’s needs.
After some collaboration and phone calls, the Veterans quickly stepped into their roles in fulfilling the Legion’s mission of continued service to other vets.
Rapid coordination produced the exact resources to assist Gary during his recovery.
Montandon is a small community of approximately 900 people nestled in the quiet area of rolling picturesque farms in central Pennsylvania.
Post #841 draws its membership from among the many area veterans boasting an active membership of over 500 Legionnaires.
Post #841 is open seven days a week, 365 days a year.
