Dear Legionnaire:
Greetings, I hope this email finds you and yours in good health and spirits. This is your Commander Bill Gray. I thought I would write this to you to let you know what is going on in the next wo weeks.
This week on the 9th we will be paying honors to Louis G Cardenas. He will be interned at Ft. Sam Houston at 11AM. Members of the Color Guard will be present to render final salute.
On the 10th at the Helotes City Hall at 7PM there will be a resolution read to change the law of on open flames in the city limits of Helotes. This will be presented by Fire Chief Moreland. With the help of our Post, we have helped make this change. The law will be set for only one day, June 14th, Flag Day. This will allow the Post to provide the chance for proper decommissioning of the American Flag and Texas flag.
Next week will be a busy week for the post.
On the 14th, Flag Day the Post will perform the Flag Retirement Ceremony. It will be at 6PM at the Helotes Fire Department grounds. If you have any flags that need to be retired, please bring them with you.
On the 16th will be our next General Membership Meeting. We will be installing our new Officers which will be followed by a potluck dinner. Your whole family is welcome.
